YAMBIO, 09 January 2014 [Gurtong]- The commissioner said that the group is a threat to the people in his community and should leave as soon as possible.
“We had our Christmas festival without any problem and we wish to continue in the same way,” he said.
He noted that he wants to take the opportunity to add his voice to the current situation in the country calling for calm, calling for peace and reconciliation among the warring parties’ only peace talks can resolve the issues.
The commissioner urged the citizens to return to their homes and stop believing
in rumours because it’s time to go back to their garden and begin cultivating for their families.
Moudie also appealed to the chiefs and community leaders to use this chance to spread the word of peace to the local and also a word of encouragement as people are not ready to return to war.
He also appreciated the state government for their commitment to protecting its people and their property.
