Nile City FC In Yambio Banned For Three Years

The Board of Directors of Yambio Local Football Association, Western Equatoria State has confirmed that disciplinary action has been taken against the Nile City Football Club following a breach of the Associations’ Code of Conduct.

- The ban comes after the Sunday match between Nile City Football Club and Villa United football club of Yambio where Nile City was defeated 4-2 during a penalty shoot-out.

Members of the club and their fans began a fight against the fans and players of Villa United after the league match ended at Gbuddue National Stadium in Yambio.

 As a result, all members of the Football Club have been banned from playing for a period of three years.

Following the decision, both the team as a whole and individual members faced a number of sanctions.

The board of directors, Yambio Local Football Association, Western Equatoria state during its regular meeting on Monday 13th April, 2015 unanimously resolved to ban the football club of Nile City for three years from all football activities in the state and all players and the coaching board are as well suspended from participating in all the official competitions of the association and any kind of friendly match.

It further stated that players and coaches who directly participated in the fight after the match are also to serve an extra suspension from football activities after serving the club punishment.
The players, Gasim Silman Rataki will go for an extra suspension of three years, Nelson Monday will go for an extra suspension of two years, the head coach Mr. Emmanuel Baraka Arama will also go for two years and lastly assistant coach of Nile City Mr. Muso, Mr. Balla and Mr. Engual are also banned from entering the stadium or freedom square for a period of two years.
