RUMBEK, 23 August 2016 [Gurtong]- In an interview with Gurtong, the chairperson of Western Lakes State Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Joseph Mondut Anei urged the general public in the State and traders operating in all parts of Western Lakes State to abide by the newly introduced prices.
The new prices of food items include the following;
- A 50kg bag of sugar which was going for 5,700 SSP wholesaleprices is now 4,500 SSP while retailers will sell per kg at 100 SSP.
- Mukwano soap was going for 1,500 SSP at wholesale price now reduced to 1,200 SSP while retailers will selleach bar of soap at 50 SSP.
- Rice50kg was sold at 5,700 SSP at wholesale price n ow reduced to 4,500 SSP while retailers will sale a kilo at 100 SSP.
Joseph Mondut said that the traders must strictly observe the new price was as per the resolutions and recommendations of the meeting between the chamber of commerce and representatives of the traders in Rumbek.
