Aweil East State Cabinet Appoints 93 Chiefs As Part Of Local Government Manpower
Following a series of vetting process by the Council of Ministers in Aweil East State, 93 traditional Chiefs have been appointed at the Ministry of Local Government to assist in running the government.

AWEIL EAST, 23 January 2017 [Gurtong] - The decision according to Sabrino Majok Majok, Secretary General of Aweil East State said the decision was made to recognize their role in the liberation struggle in Sudan, saying the traditional chiefs will also help the State government to carry out its work effectively.
"After the creation of the new States, our government in Aweil East found it important because Chiefs play a great role in the community and in the government. Those Chiefs also participated in the liberation struggle," said Majok while addressing reporters last Friday.
