AWEIL, 24 January 2017 [Gurtong]- Lual was sworn into office on Monday at the State headquarters at Malual-khon where he took the ceremonial oath of office.
Lual while being interviewed by media outlets welcomed his appointment and pledged to work hard to unite the people of his area.
“I confirm I have been sworn in today as Commissioner of Yargot County. It is very important you know we just had a national dialogue program before us, so we have to make sure we have things all in order for us and the country at large to regain strength and become harmonious and this must start with each and every individual,” said Lual.
“We are looking forward to getting involved in this by learning the ropes and doing a good job for our people and the country.”
The new official said some of the top issues his administration would face for 2017 will be mobilization of the people to work and peaceful coexistence.
“There is no problem in my place. Yargot County is a peaceful place in the State. Like any other County of Aweil East. We do not have communal conflict. Our people don’t fight themselves. They don’t raid cattle. We are naturally a peaceful community and so we encourage our people to remain peaceful so that other people can come and learn from us”, he explained.
