RUMBEK/AWEIL, 06 March 2017 [Gurtong]-In Western Lakes State the exams begun at 9 am in four centers in the State while in Aweil in 11 Counties.
Western Lakes State Minister of Education, Francis Mabor Meen Manyinga urged the students to remain calm and follow the examinations rules to avoid any dismissal.
Mabor Meen said the number of candidates sitting for the secondary School national examinations in Western Lakes this year is eight hundred and five (805) students.
In Aweil, at least 1,525 Students are sitting for their Secondary School Certificates in 11 Counties.
The exams will continue until the 17th of March when the last subject will be done.
The Headmaster of Rumbek Secondary School, Sharack Chol Akemteet warned that any invigilator found assisting the candidates in the examination rooms will be dismissed as an invigilator and arrested immediately.
“There will be no tolerance to malpractices during the exams period and any student found seeking help from a colleague in the class or carrying unauthorized materials would be dismissed from conducting examination.”
