Over 5 Trucks Stranded Along Bor-Juba Road

An official from the Chamber of Commerce in Bor says at least 6 trucks are stranded along the Bor-Juba road following heavy rains.

BOR, 19 September 2017 [Gurtong]-“We have sent at least two strong trucks to go and pull the vehicles that are stranded along Bor-Juba road,” said Mabior Kuol Ajok Market Supervisor for Chamber of Commerce in Bor.

On Monday, the office of the Chamber of Commerce in Bor reported that at least 6 vehicles carrying food commodities from Juba to Bor were stranded along the road.

“We have sent the stronger trucks to go and help because the road is becoming muddy due to the rains. There is no ather way to get the trucks reach Bor with goods. So we sent the truck and they are now trying to help pull the other trucks that are stranded.” Said Mabior Kuol Ajok.

He however said that the prices of basic food commodities like, sugar and oil may increase if the trucks do not reach Bor soon.
