USAID Officials Pay Visit To Wau To Assess Their Humanitarian Assistance In The Region

USAID officials from the US Embassy in Juba on Thursday paid a visit to Wau town to assess the level of USAID supporting projects in the region.

The officials also held a 30 minutes closed door meeting with the administration of University of Bahr el Ghazal on the areas of support.

Speaking to Gurtong after their meeting with the university’s administration, the head of delegation the Public Affairs officer, Mr. Mark Weinberg said the visit also aims at monitoring USAID humanitarian assistance at the protection of civilian’s sites within Wau town.

“Am here as part of a larger US embassy delegation to Wau, just for the day, we monitoring USAID programming here particularly our humanitarian assistance to the PoCs sites and also looking at some other programs and making a visit to the University of Bahr el Ghazal to learn more about the University and how we can make our partner with them,” said Mark Weinberg.
