JUBA, 27 November 2018 [Gurtong]-The Examination exercise will end on Friday.
This year, the number of candidates sitting for the examinations increased to over 48,000 from last years over 41,000.

The Minister of General Education and Instructions, Deng Deng Hoc together with some Members of the Education Committee at the Transitional National Legislative Assembly rung the bell at Juba Na Bari Primary School to mark the start of the examinations on Monday.
Minister Hoc warned the students against any malpractice saying the exams were not very difficult.

“Don’t go into the examination room with notebooks and start cheating. That will be the wrong thing to do. Do the right thing,” he advised the candidates.

The Chairperson of the Education Committee at the Transitional National Legislative Assembly Ahmed Mohamed Musa urged the student to handle the examinations appropriately.

He further urged the invigilators to seriously monitor any case of malpractice during examinations.

“Don’t allow malpractice during these examinations because that will harm the students and the whole country,” Musa said.

The two States of Fashoda and Maiwut did not register any candidate due to the conflict as most of the students have been displaced to the neighbouring States.

Last year, there were also no examinations in Fashoda, Maiwut and Latjor, States as they did not register any candidate.

In Boma State only five female candidates sat for this year’s unified examinations.
