SPLA-IO Troops Arrive At Cantonment Site in Wau State

Wau, 30 May, 2019 [GURTONG] – The Opposition Army, SPLA/IO in Wau State said their forces have arrived at the cantonment areas ahead of General assembly in Busere, 12 miles Southwest of Wau town, the Joint Military Ceasefire Committee that arrived in Wau town today told the
press.

According to SPLA/IO Division 6 (A) acting commander, the forces left Farajalla base on 22nd this month and are currently in Busere.

Major General Joseph Daniel Jongo said the move is a respond to the on-going security arrangements.

“For sure, we are organizing according to the agreement. Our forces left the headquarter of Division 6 of Farajalla on 22nd of this month on their way to the cantonment site at Busere, specifically in Gualima.

"So now our forces of IO are present as a battalion of administration to organize the site. This is what is in place, we are currently at the assembly site and this is one of the security implementations that could take us to the agreement,” said Jongo.
